Well there is a resolution. To verify this proposition, I went and tested other apps on my system and sure enough, every one of them came up with a Windows 8 compatibility standard; not Windows So, unless Microsoft comes back and states this should not be the case, I think I'm done with pursuing this topic, but it does raise the question: Why would Microsoft set this up in this manner?
